A contemporary literary fiction focused on family life and intergenerational dysfunction. The series blends domestic drama, psychological realism, and moral introspection to examine trauma, secrets, and the long arc of family patterns.

The Family Affair Series is a four-book fiction collection that traces the Johnson family across decades: A Beautiful Stormy Day; Secrets From the Closet; In Mommy’s Shadow; and Who’s Watching the Children. Told primarily through a family narrator who doubles as a clinician, the books map the emotional ripples of tradition, secrecy, and generational pathology.

While unafraid to depict raw behaviors—adultery, substance abuse, borderline symptomology—the books emphasize the possibility of repair: therapy, personal accountability, and intentional parenting. Tone moves from intimate domestic detail to broader moral contemplation, and the books conclude with practical discussion questions and author notes that invite reader reflection on family legacy and healing.
