Anita Glaster says that she is a retired licensed teaching counselor who writes for a non-culturally specific audience. Anita is a talented author known for her captivating fiction and insightful general writing. With a passion for storytelling, she weaves intricate narratives that explore the human experience. Anita’s work often delves into the complexities of relationships and the nuances of everyday life.
She shares that “growth is a mandatory exercise of the heart and soul. Curiosity is the juice that propels you into the new and unknown. It all teaches you how to better handle the challenges to come. There is no place in life where you can say, ‘I have it all. I am finished learning’. As soon as you say that you are in big trouble because life ‘will’ teach you a thing or two and it yearns to give you wisdom.”
In her first published work, “Thoughts From the Soul: My journal in a book of poems”, one of her last poems was called Aloneness. And she shares that “when it is time to turn, change, grow, and even when we die no one can come with us. We do it all alone. Many times, for the hard decisions there will be no standing ovations, no crowds standing in awe of you and no one saying ‘oh, how profound that was’. And life is not played to music as it is in soap operas or daytime tv.
Other short stories in her series are: A Beautiful Stormy Day, Secrets from the Closet, In Mommy’s Shadow, and Who’s Watching the Children. This book series is encapsulated in four books then in one full manuscript called The Family Affair Series. Finally, as the last book evolves, Anita then finishes the series in a manuscript called, The Family Affair Series, Novelette, 2nd Edition. This last work offers even more embellishments to the original series with a surprising ending for each character!
