Proverbs 9:1 in The Passion Translation (TPT) reads: “Wisdom has built herself a palace upon seven pillars to keep it secure”. Wisdom built herself a palace that will be secured. What do you have in your palace, or in this case, your marriage, to secure it for the rest of your life? Too many marriages are destroyed! As a matter of fact, the statistics recorded in 2024 show that nearly 42 percent of those married for the first time end in divorce. This is not the plan nor the will of God. In every marriage, these seven pillars are necessary and serve as a stabilizer to secure your marriage when applied. Let’s look at it this way: when you are done showering, most people apply lotion to their bodies to keep them soft and smooth and to help the skin stay hydrated. If one does not apply the lotion, the skin becomes dry and ashy, and the skin can become hard and scratchy depending on the location of the body. This is a scenario of marriages.
This book identifies those seven pillars on which you build, bridge, and brace your marriage while leaning on the help of the Holy Ghost to assist you. Do you remember your vows? We all said something like “till death do us part” in good and bad circumstances. However, this is not the case in many marriages, and I am tired of the destruction of that. Marriages can be so much better, and I want you to have the secure palace, as wisdom has!
