Abdullah Hakim Kenneth Basnight Poole is an author, researcher, systems thinker, entrepreneur, and founder of Sphinx Global Enterprises. His interdisciplinary work brings together history, law, psychology, theology, genealogy, technology, and lived experience to examine the continuing consequences of captivity, colonization, racial classification, and institutional power.

His scholarship was shaped through more than three decades of independent study, including years of legal research. Drawing upon historical archives, family genealogy, constitutional and international law, trauma research, Islamic moral philosophy, and the intellectual traditions of African and Diaspora thinkers, he approaches reparative justice as both a question of historical accountability and a problem requiring practical systems of repair.

In Enemies of the Original Man: A Clinical and Legal Framework for Reparative Justice, Poole develops an integrated framework connecting historical evidence with the concepts of Post-Traumatic Colonization Syndrome (PTCS), Post-Traumatic Slave Master Syndrome (PTSMS), the Diaspora Diagnostics Manual (DDM), and models for individual, familial, institutional, and generational restoration.

His work is ultimately concerned not only with documenting what happened, but with a larger question: What does justice require when the descendants of the injured and the institutions shaped by the injury are still living with its consequences?
