Betty holds 5 Guinness Book World Records for HoopRunning but she prefers her claim to fame be when she was kicked out of an aerobics class for lack of rhythm and falling into others. Her other cross sport is HoopBoarding. She created the collapsible Betty Hoop®, which is said to be the easiest, most comfortable hoop on the market. She also played harmonica in a bluegrass band that went viral and played shows throughout Colorado. Moving to Aspen, Colorado in her 20’s, she discovered that being in the mountains helped her to heal from childhood trauma. Since 1998, she has donated hoops and time teaching in areas after disasters such as; NYC after 9/11, NOLA after Hurricane Katrina, and Columbine, CO after the school shooting. The Hoop Warrior™ Workout is a fun form of dance therapy, which connects kids and adults to nature’s elements. This instills a feeling of being grounded, flexible, calm and alive. Raised in NY, Betty’s grit and authenticity shaped her Yoga/Bootcamp style of teaching. This dissolves self doubt and helps everyone to feel their power and playfulness. “I love turning an ‘I Can’t Do That’ mindset into a, ‘Look What I Can Do!’ lifestyle.
