Olivia Shiel aka ThatGirlOlivia is a speaker, media personality, and founder of House of LiV, a platform dedicated to helping women and youth heal from trauma, reclaim their identity, and rebuild their lives. Born on Fort Sill Army Base in Lawton, Oklahoma, Olivia’s life began in a world of discipline and resilience—qualities she would later draw on to survive abuse, incarceration, homelessness, and personal betrayal.
Her voice has long been a force—both figuratively and literally. As an on-air radio host, Olivia earned multiple awards including Host of the Year, Radio Personality of the Year, and the SHE-EO Award for leadership in media, while living in Chicago, IL. She had the rare honor of conducting the final interview with Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr., and formerly published a culture magazine that gave rapper YG his very first cover story.
Despite relentless storms, Olivia continued to rise—turning pain into purpose. The proceeds from her book will allow her to grow her newly found business House of LiV. Through House of LiV, she offers therapy, mentorship, reentry support, and personal development programs for marginalized communities. When Silence Screams is her debut memoir, launching alongside a mental health-focused soundtrack, workbook, and national healing initiative. She lives in Nashville, TN and travels nationally to mentor, speak, and inspire.
