Said Hassan Ahmed is a Somali refugee who became a United States citizen, former professional track athlete, educator, youth organizer, and Boston City Council candidate. He holds a Ph.D. in Government and Development and has lectured at Harvard University.

 Ahmed was a top-ticket finalist in the Boston City Council race, becoming the first African, Muslim male immigrant to top the ballot in a Boston preliminary election. His work focuses on youth development, immigrant empowerment, and community leadership.
