Dr. Darryl Strychlin, once a serial killer, wants nothing more than a beautiful woman and to blend into the shadows of Southern Rhode Island. But a violent encounter at a bar unleashes his deadly propensities, and the act catches the eye of a phantom that sees in him the potential to release her soul from the Saw River’s curse.

Now, each evening, the phantom torments Darryl. Compelling him to take chances and kill for the vengeful spirit’s gain.

Along his journey, Darryl becomes obsessed with Angela Lignelli—a waitress with a haunted pet serpent and secrets of her own. Together, they are forced to wade into the deadly abyss that is the Saw River.

As Halloween approaches and the river craves more souls, fate plays a hand. Darryl, Angela, and the spectral sisters are forced into a turbulent confrontation where the living and the dead must finally reckon with the river’s macabre, insatiable thirst for souls.
