The Book of Second Corinthians is an inspired letter written by the apostle Paul who was defending his ministry. Throughout his life as a minister, Paul faced countless trials, false accusations, afflictions and hardships. It would appear by human standards that he was a defeated man and that his ministry was worthless. But on the contrary, these hardships became a testimony to Paul’s ministry because he did not lose heart. His endurance through every hardship had testified that: (1) the souls of men were far too important for him to lose heart; (2) the message of reconciliation and salvation in Jesus Christ was far too important for him to quit; and (3) eternity is far too long for him to stop preaching the gospel. “We Do Not Lose Heart” is an exegesis of Second Corinthians written to edify ministers and missionaries when they encounter certain hardships in their ministry. For whoever desires to keep their ministry alive would do well by taking the time to study Paul’s inspired letter of Second Corinthians. Part 2 of “We Do Not Lose Heart” covers chapters six through nine. (See Part 1 for chapters one through five).
