Satan has cunningly turned the attention of Catholics from Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus, as well as to deceased saints, “sacred” objects and even the Catholic Church itself. These can all be idolatry, and our jealous God hates idolatry and assures us that offenders will be punished. That’s why in Revelation chapter 18, he calls his people to come out of her (the Catholic Church) so they will not be punished with her.
