In my 20s and 30s, I ministered through music as a gospel hip-hop artist under the name The Spiritual Lyricist. Those years shaped both my faith and my understanding of the unique challenges faced by athletes striving to honor God while pursuing greatness.
Over a decade ago, God placed it on my heart to write this book. It was born out of a desire to offer athletes something more than strategy or motivation—a spiritual compass. In today’s world, where NIL deals and record-breaking contracts dominate headlines, the lure of money, fame, and status can make it easy to lose sight of what matters most. This book serves as a guide for athletes at every level, reminding them that while talent may open doors, it is only by keeping God at the center that one can truly thrive.
