Gevork Dertsakian is an Armenian American author. Born in Yerevan in 1986, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1991. In 2004, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served on the front lines in Fallujah, Iraq. After returning to the US, he enrolled at Harvard University and earned a degree in Literary Studies.
